Every child has great value in the sight of God, even those who are unwanted, abandoned and neglected. They belong to “HIM” from the time they are in their mother’s womb. It is indeed right to entrust their lives to the Creator, for only His work and will are best. Here in CRIBS we do it through Baptism, dedicating them to the Lord, publicly proclaiming that they are children of GOD.
Fourteen children in the Receiving Home and three girls from New Beginnings were baptized in the Nativity Parish Church, last February 9, 2008, by Father Manoling Francisco, SJ. Ms. Venchie Paminiano, a regular CRIBS volunteer, together with her friends and relatives, stood as the children’s godparents. They brought gifts and food and donated enough to cover the church expenses. The joy they brought to the event was unforgettable.
Father Manoling, who also volunteered to perform the baptisms, and the godparents, gave so much of themselves, showing their love for the children. Their presence at the baptism was perfectly planned by the ONE who has the power to make all things possible.
May God bless them a hundred-fold. |
